Understanding West Hollywood

Modern rooftop swimming pool area with lounge chairs and city view

West Hollywood has always been a neighborhood for people who have fought to live on their own terms. Creatives, entrepreneurs, LGBTQ+ residents who helped build this city from the ground: the community was shaped by people who refused to wait for permission to be themselves. That spirit is real, and it draws people who value self-expression, freedom, and visibility.

But self-expression and self-understanding are not the same thing. You may have done the work of becoming someone you are genuinely proud of, and still feel that parts of your inner life have not caught up. The energy of this neighborhood, the social life, the career ambitions, the constant reinvention, can make it difficult to slow down long enough to notice what you actually feel when the motion stops. What you have built may be genuine, and it may also be protecting you from something you have not yet been willing to look at.

My practice is affirming and welcomes clients from West Hollywood. Therapy here is not about taking apart what you have created. It is about understanding what lives underneath it, the parts of yourself that visibility alone cannot reach. If you are interested in starting, schedule a consultation to see if we are a good fit.

A place to explore, free of judgement.

My specialties

What I Help With

The pressures of visibility, identity, and reinvention bring people to therapy for many reasons. These are among the most common.

I also work with OCD, neurodivergence, self-esteem, personality disorders, psychosis, and trauma, along with many other concerns.

My Approach

Why Work With Me

Depth Over Quick Fixes

West Hollywood rewards reinvention, but reinvention without self-understanding can become its own trap. Psychodynamic therapy moves past the surface, so that the changes you make are ones you can actually sustain.

Telehealth Across California

For clients with unpredictable schedules (auditions, productions, late nights), telehealth can make consistency possible. Secure video sessions are available for clients anywhere in California.

Thoughtful Pacing

In a neighborhood that runs on momentum, slowing down can feel like falling behind. But the parts of you that need attention rarely respond to urgency. They ask for something closer to stillness.

Cultural Sensitivity

As a bilingual therapist (English/Farsi), I understand how identity, culture, and community shape our inner lives. My practice is affirming and welcomes clients across identities, backgrounds, and experiences.
