Understanding Brentwood

A tall palm tree with windswept fronds stands on a beach behind a wooden fence, with the ocean and sky in the background.

You may have chosen Brentwood for exactly the reasons it works: the quiet, the privacy, the distance from everything else. The canyon, the mornings off San Vicente, the homes set behind hedges and gates. None of that was accidental. You built a life with room in it, and the life you built is real.

But privacy can become a way of carrying things alone. When everything around you reflects composure and success, it gets harder to say that something still hurts, or that the ease you perform for others is not the ease you feel. Many of my clients from this area describe the same experience: the sense that their life looks right and yet something unnamed persists underneath. That gap between how things appear and how they actually feel when the house is quiet is worth paying attention to.

Therapy does not require you to dismantle what you have built. It asks something simpler: that you let yourself be known by someone who can sit with what you carry. I work with clients from Brentwood and across the Westside. If you are interested in starting, schedule a consultation to see if we are a good fit.

Space to set down the performance and explore what lies beneath.

For the teenager who seems fine, and the parent who senses otherwise.

My specialties

What I Help With

Many people in Brentwood carry their struggles quietly. These are the concerns I see most often in this community.

I also work with OCD, neurodivergence, self-esteem, personality disorders, psychosis, and trauma, along with many other concerns.

My Approach

Why Work With Me

Depth Over Quick Fixes

In a community where people are used to solving problems efficiently, therapy asks for something different. I practice psychodynamic therapy, an approach that stays with complexity rather than rushing past it, so that change reaches the places quick fixes cannot.

Telehealth Across California

For clients who prefer the privacy of their own space, online therapy can feel more accessible than an office visit. I offer secure video sessions for clients throughout California.

Thoughtful Pacing

The pace of Brentwood life can make slowing down feel uncomfortable. Sessions move at the speed your process requires, not the speed your schedule demands. Sometimes that means sitting with something longer than feels productive.

Cultural Sensitivity

As a bilingual therapist (English/Farsi), I understand how cultural expectations shape what we allow ourselves to feel and what we learn to keep hidden. I work with clients across identities and backgrounds.
